WHO WE ARE
Home Cooking New York (HCNY) was founded in May 2002 by former Martha Stewart Living Editor Jennifer Clair. After years of writing cookbooks, recipes, and food editorials, the opportunity to come together with eager culinary students in a kitchen classroom seemed like the fantastic next step.
OUR SPACE
Home Cooking New York built the teaching kitchen of their dreams right in the heart of Nolita. Our open kitchen & loft space is a unique mix of modern aesthetic with commercial capabilities. It has the warmth of home and the power to produce.
We have more than 22 feet of butcher block and stainless steel work tables, tangerine metal counter stools,and every possible piece of cooking equipment (we are a full-time cooking school). We also have servingware for up to 20 people. The space is most comfortable for up to 20 people and the dining room table can seat 16.
A giant skylight provides inviting light during the daytime.
WHAT WE ARE OPEN TO
We are happy to rent you our kitchen! We spent a lot of time designing the work space of our dreams and are delighted to share it. Our kitchen is a mix of vintage, modern, and industrial. We have combined the functionality of a commercial teaching kitchen.
