"When you walk through the door of the high-ceilinged, three-story studio, it's like being transported to a chic French pied-a-terre." - Vogue
AQUA studio is a wellness hideaway in the heart of TriBeCa, and the home of the unique sport: Aqua cycling, a cycling experience in 4' of water that harmoniously pairs the challenge of high-intensity cardio and full-body toning with the natural healing properties
of salt water.
While aqua cycling is the primary focus, Founder Esther Gauthier, a former fashion-photography producer, has designed the studio to also include spa services, tea at the beautifully built-out tea bar, yoga, and a curated retail selection of products that support the holistic ethos of the studio. "It doesn't look like a gym, and that's the point," Gauthier told Vogue. "We wanted a space that felt really cozy, where you come for a great class and a small community."
The retail within AQUA is thoughtfully curated. All beauty products carried within are both sustainable and beautifully crafted. The apparel and swimwear offered is comfortable, unique, and practical. In addition, there are coffee table books, and magazines like
Gentlewoman and PLANT in order to inspire and promote a healthy lifestyle.
